Open Water Farms is proud to be located in Petaluma, California at one of Sonoma County’s premier equestrian facilities, Hawkwood Hill Farm.
Training Facilities
Access to Hawkwood’s indoor arena, outdoor arena, multi-purpose field, and miles of trails allows horses to become comfortable in any setting.
Indoor Arena (80’ x 120’) with sand and composite footing, training mirrors.
Outdoor Jumping Arena (100’ x 200’) with sand and composite footing, spectator seating.
Large Derby Field (200’ x 300’)
Over three miles of trails.
Boarding Facilities
Hawkwood Hill offers indoor stall and outdoor paddock boarding. Gina can help owners decide which option makes the most sense depending on a horse’s development and needs.
Indoor Stalls (12’ x 12’): Bedded with pine shavings and cleaned twice daily.
Outdoor Paddocks (various sizes): Includes horse shelter.
Turnouts (various sizes)
Turnout & Feeding
Gina personally handles all turnout and feeding for horses in Open Water Farms’ training programs. This ensures that she is able to address any existing or potential behavioral issues as they arise, both on the ground and in the saddle.
Open Water Farms feeds pre-bagged grain only! Any additional feeding requirements will incur additional fees, at Open Water Farms’ discretion.
